Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) is concerned with:
Enabling computers to "think";
Creating machines that are "intelligent";
Enabling computers to perceive, reason and act;
Synthesising intelligent behaviour in artefacts.
Previously, we looked at statistical and machine learning. Learning is an essential area of AI. But this is only one part; it also includes problem solving (e.g. optimisations), planning, communicating, acting and reasoning.
