The Allen Laboratory is interested in understanding RNA virus infections and the features of these viruses that drive their highly dynamic epidemiology, allowing them to emerge and persist in populations. Using this information to understand virus-host interactions that influence the infection process and define clinical outcomes, and develop better diagnostics including approaches for lower-resourced settings.
