The wood of
D. schiffneri has yielded (+)-8-hydroxy-calamenene (1) and schiffnerones A (2) and B (3).
The wood of
Dysoxylum schiffneri (Meliaceae) has yielded the known (+)-8-hydroxycalamenene, the novel sesquiterpenoid, schiffnerone A (1,5-dihydroxy-1,3,5-bisabolatrien-10-one) and the novel trisnorsesquiterpenoid, schiffnerone B (2-hydroxy-11,12,13-trinor-7-calamenone).
