Investigations of the stem and root bark of Turraea holstii (Meliaceae) have yielded three novel triterpenoids, holstinone A (21 R,23 R-epoxy-7 α,24 S-dihydroxy-21 α,25-dimethoxyapotirucalla-1,14-dien-3-one), holstinone B (21 S,23 R-epoxy-7 α,24 S,25-trihydroxy-21 β-methoxyapotirucalla-1,14-dien-3-one) and holstinone C (21 R,23 R-epoxy-7 α,24 S,25-trihydroxy-21 α-methoxyapotirucalla-1,14-dien-3-one).
