Abstract
The present invention provides a gas detector (100) for detecting a volatile organic compound (VOC) gas. The gas detector comprises at least one transducer (10) comprising at least one nanowire (20) comprising an arene compound (22) to capture a VOC gas. An electronic characteristic (e.g. threshold voltage of a FET transudcer) of the transducer changes when a VOC gas is captured by the arene compound.
