Oxide semiconductors (OS) are essential building blocks in displays, sensors, memory, and emerging neuromorphic applications. As society transitions towards the next-generation, growing demand for these devices will drive the need for more sustainable materials, high throughput processes, and energy efficient performance. Here, we demonstrate how a paradigm shift towards printing process especially when combined with OS carrier concentration control is a more sustainable and high throughput approach. Furthermore, adopting novel contact-controlled device architectures in OS devices will pave the way toward ultralow-power electronics.
