I study the art of acting and related subjects in theatre, film and performance from the perspective of cognitive psychology. I take a particular interest in social cognition. My current work attempts to bring together theatre history and cultural evolution with game theory in order to explain how theatre and performance dramatise and attempt to solve coordination problems.
