My current research explores the origins of the arrow of time and irreversibility in open quantum systems. By studying how quantum systems interact with their environments, I seek to understand how irreversible behaviour emerges from the underlying laws of quantum mechanics. Central themes of my work include decoherence, the quantum-classical transition, and quantum thermodynamics.
