Medical illustration, Skin neglected tropical diseases Buruli ulcer, BU BU nodule form

A medical illustration of a sub-cutaneous lump depicting the nodule form of Buruli ulcer (BU). BU is part of a set of skin related neglected topical diseases (skin NTDs), which are chronic infectious diseases found in tropical and sub-tropical regions of the world. The purpose to illustrate how a BU nodule presents on the skin, to be used for visual communication and educational purposes regarding skin NTDs. The original purpose for use by health care workers in Ghana, Africa.
