Abstract
‘Isolations’ investigates the creative re-use of urban spaces as a component of sound composition and installation practice. Four composer/sound artists were each given one of the detention cells in The Old Police Station Deptford as a studio for six days to make a work that responded to, or engaged with, the site in some way. A public event in the Old Police Station concluded the project at which the work produced was shared, followed by a facilitated audience discussion with David Toop.
