Abstract
The reactions
52Cr +
96Ru at 240 MeV,
56Fe +
92Mo at 250 MeV and
54Fe +
92Mo at 260 MeV have been used to form the compound nuclei
146, 148Er. Bands of gamma ray transitions were identified as belonging to the odd-proton nuclei
137Eu,
141, 143, 145Tb and
145Ho which are among the decay products of these compound systems. The observed level sequences closely resemble the ground state bands in the neighbouring, even-even core nuclei, and appear to be rotationally aligned bands based on the

proton orbit. In all the cases reported these are the first data on excited states.
