Abstract
79Au. The findings have been interpreted in terms of the independent single-particle spherical shell model. In part, the model fails to reproduce the experimental findings, corrections to the parametrisation of the model are suggested. From the measured N < 126 nuclei: 6 nuclear species have had states measured for the first time (199-201 77Ir, 197, 198 76Os, 191 74W); another 7 have had excited states observed for the first time (204, 202 79Au, 203 78Pt, 202 77lr, 199 76Os, 196 75Re, 189 73Ta); 7 isomers are reported for the first time (204, 205 80Hg, 201 79Au, 197, 199 78Pt, 195 77lr, 193 76Os); and repeat measurements on 17 previously reported isomers have been performed (203-206 80Hg, 203 79Au, 198, 200-202 78Pt, 198 77Ir, 195 76Os, 191-194 75Re, 190 76W, 188 73Ta). From these 47 observed isomers, isomeric ratio information has been measured in 34 cases.
