Abstract
This portfolio encompasses an introduction to the three research projects carried out over the course of my training and outlines the ways in which they are all interconnected. The research projects explore mental health difficulties in the Haredi (Ultra-Orthodox Jewish) community from three different perspectives: the literature, key informants from the Haredi community and individual lived experiences of Haredi Jews with mental health difficulties. The second project draws on thematic analysis to ascertain how mental health difficulties are represented and responded to within the Haredi community. The third project draws on interpretative phenomenological analysis to explore the unique lived experiences of Haredi Jews who have experienced mental health difficulties within the context of their communities.
