Abstract

Peer relationships Sharing economy Social interaction Technology adoption Logic
Scholarly inquiry into the host-guest self-presentations and re-presentations on technology-mediated platforms is limited. Here, Belk and Khan address this topic by conceptualising and demonstrating "self-otherhood" in the context of the P2P sharing economy. They use apriori logic to categorize the "relational self-other" and the "subdued self" in host-guest relationships.
