Abstract
This talk will introduce the audience to work-life balance from a psychological perspective. I will outline theories which can help us to better understand and manage such a wide concept, using questions and interactions with the audience throughout to enable everyone to reflect on their own needs and wants. I will highlight that whilst work-life balance is often seen as a working women’s issue in research and the popular domain, it’s as important for all members of society. I will conclude with some tips for effective self-management.
