Abstract
As a group of researchers involved in a range of co-produced and participatory homeless health research projects, 2020 presented us with challenging set of circumstances. As the coronavirus outbreak took hold in the UK, like others, we had to quickly adapt to new ways of physically-distanced working.
With limited technology among both researchers and participants alike, however, doing research remotely was no mean feat – especially given the participatory approach that is central to our work. By participatory we mean an approach that involves people with experience in homelessness in all aspects of the study, from co-developing the design to implementing data collection and analysis.
This chapter offers some practical insights to inform how researchers might implement co-produced research through later phases of the pandemic, or in similar challenges, but also for how lessons learnt during the pandemic might have more general benefit.
