Abstract
The aim of this chapter is to provide an overview of an overall layout of a wind farm to appreciate the multidisciplinary nature of the subject. The fundamental concepts and understanding of other disciplines and fields, which are not directly related to civil engineering design but are necessary to carry out the design, are also described with references for further study. The challenges in the design of the foundation are highlighted.
